Dealer trade text

You have a pretty sweet bike... I would drop some coin in the engine (Fuel Moto, GMR, ect) and keep it moving. November of last year, they gave me $24K for my 13 CVO RK. There is no way I would accept that for one of the big CVOs!

CVO are not for most riders. Most CVO's you see don't get ridden much. They are a item that is purchased most often by those that do it because they can.
Saw one a couple years back that I really liked, but with the miles I ride it would have been about worthless in 6 months .
Market will set the price. They will likely sell.

The dealers always promote the hype and drop trade value every year before new model release. I got $7,000 off when I bought mine and that's close to what you would have in a ultra loaded up the same. But I was willing to buy a year old model. Never be the Bata tester for the first couple years either.

Harley as I understand it is making fewer CVOs due to declining demand. They had trouble moving out the 2016 models as well as the 2017. I understand the 2016 because of the big changes in 2017. It has been a struggle for them to move the high dollar CVOs. I don't know who does their paint design on the CVO lineup, but I think they could use some help in this area.

Sitting home and received text from the dealer that I purchased my 2016 Ultra CVO from inquiring if I was interested in hearing the numbers and great deal they could work on a trade for a 2018 CVO they have on their floor.
I figured no harm in asking so I said sure.
Turns out they will give me $22,000.00 for mine on trade and I will have to come to the table with the other $27,800.00 for the new one.
They are selling the new bike for $49,800.00 plus tax and all other fees. They proceeded to tell me it's a hot commodity and are only allowing them 18 CVOs for the year and are only producing limited numbers.
Also told me it's well worth the money for the 117 engine..
This is the same dealer that did give me a great deal buying it 1 1/2 years ago and gave me almost 22k for my 2 1/2 year old Limited with 12k more miles then this bike.
Kind of ruined my day hearing that so I went into the garage and fell in love with my bike all over again.

Yeah. I wasn't looking but they solicited me so I figured let's see what they are offering..
I love my bike and am planning on keeping it and running the hell ot of her. I ride a lot for living in north eastern PA. Usually between 16k and 20k a year so my plans are to at least hit 100 k and if need be refresh the engine.
