I totally agree , This bike is the best running and handling Harley I have owned.I did upgrade the suspension and that made this bike even more fun to ride. It's a keeper for sure.

Sitting home and received text from the dealer that I purchased my 2016 Ultra CVO from inquiring if I was interested in hearing the numbers and great deal they could work on a trade for a 2018 CVO they have on their floor.
I figured no harm in asking so I said sure.
Turns out they will give me $22,000.00 for mine on trade and I will have to come to the table with the other $27,800.00 for the new one.
They are selling the new bike for $49,800.00 plus tax and all other fees. They proceeded to tell me it's a hot commodity and are only allowing them 18 CVOs for the year and are only producing limited numbers.
Also told me it's well worth the money for the 117 engine..
This is the same dealer that did give me a great deal buying it 1 1/2 years ago and gave me almost 22k for my 2 1/2 year old Limited with 12k more miles then this bike.
Kind of ruined my day hearing that so I went into the garage and fell in love with my bike all over again.

So basically they would have $6200 invested into your bike and I'm sure they would put it on the floor for at least $36k. That's freaking crazy. My dealer had a 2014 CVO ultra with 30k miles on the floor for $34,000.00. And they sold it!!!!

I went to both Toledo HD yesterday (labor day) and neither had new CVO's I did see the new Heritage with the 114 motor, with it being 30 lbs light, reinforced frame and new soltail shock under the seat, it looks to be one powerful monster stock. It would make a good 2nd bike with that $20 something K you would have to give to the dealer on a CVO trade in. I looked in the easy open, lockable lids and was wondering if a lightweight jacket would even fit in there.

I'm sorry but $50k is straight up CRAZY money for a motorcycle. I kicked myself in the *** when I paid $30k for my 2014 CVO Road King. Never again. Your paying a lot for the CVO name. Sure you get some extra goodies but still Jesus. I just purchased a new 2018 Road King Special for $22k and I swear its nicer then the 14 CVO Kind I had. Better engine , better stock seat and its all blacked out just how I love with almost everything the CVO had like the stretched bags and everything. Ok so I didn't get the fancy dash and wind splitter wind shield that's it. So what. And its still Special model because Harley says so. They do call it the Special. Hahaha.. Good God.

If I was buying today, I most likely would go with a SGS over a CVO. My dealer had an 18 CVO and SGS sitting next to each other, and the upgrades on the SGS this year closes the gap. The SGS was black, and with everything being blacked out, it really made the bike look good. Stretched bags, same wheels as the CVO as well.
I plan on keeping my CVO at least until a frame change on the touring bikes.

Local dealer has a 16 CVO SG that they are asking 31k for. Yeah, they would definitely make some money off of his bike with the numbers they threw out.

I don't like chrome. I spent a lot of time stripping down my 2012 FB Lo to get everything powder coated black. One of the reasons I went CVO with my SG is I did not want to go through that again.
If was buying today it would be a black SGS. Change out the bars, grips and a do a stage 1. Done...
My 16 CVO is treating me pretty good right now though.
