The '17 CVO Limited only has one amp and it is in the fairing. As far as sound I think it is ok. I've had custom audio in some other bikes and while there is a noticeable difference I enjoy the stock sound. I've ridden about 6,300 miles so far including a 2,800 mile trip to Laconia back in June and enjoyed the stereo all the way. Maybe down the road I'll want more but for now I'm enjoying what I have.

Personally I'm very impressed with the 75watt per channel Boom System on my 2017 CVO Limited. All the non-CVO bikes have the 25 watt per channel amp. I have a 500 watt Biketronics amp on my other bike for comparison. I think the fidelity and volume at all speeds is excellent. I've ridden 5500 miles and there is no speed or riding condition where the sound system on the CVO is anything but excellent. Volume is rarely above 60% and very little distortion.

I'm satisfied with the Boom Stage II on my 2017 CVO Street Glide. It's clear enough at highway speeds and there's still room to turn it up if I needed to. About my only complaint is the speed sensing volume doesn't adjust up enough to accommodate highway speeds.

I love the standard Boom system in my 2018 CVO Limited. Plenty loud enough at highway speeds and no distortion to speak of. This blows away the system in my 2014 Street Glide and I don't see a need to upgrade to the Boom II.

I agree with xupd , the sound Sucks. It's not terrible at low volume with bass at 10, but you turn that up to even half & the bass gets tinny and the drums get an awful hollow unclean sound that Makes me just want to turn it OFF . I Just bought this 17 CVO Limited recently & really like the bike overall, but the speakers are Not Good
