Have a 2016 CVO Limited and my XM constantly losing signal. Even in the wide open where no trees are taller then 10 feet. WTF? Is there an antenna booster someone sells or any other solutions???
There is an upgraded antennae. Not sure what version you have, or how to tell the difference. But, the dealer can tell you. I bought the current version, and it made a big difference. But, on a recent trip, with lots of trees, and in canyons...it cut out a lot.
I had my dealer replace my antenna with the updated one, at least it had the newer part number on the package. It did nothing to help. Works great if I place it on top of dash, but I dont care for it there, so I moved it around trying different spots inside the faring till I got best performance. Still looses signal for no reason, just not as bad. Will try the microdot as it seems to be 10x better
My problem with the sat radio is the poor music quality due to data compression. I use an old IPHONE in place of the IPOD (because it has mor memory) on my 2012 and get crystal clear music.
I use my phone all so much easier wouldn't waist my money any XM service especially on a especially on a motorcycle again had it on my last 2 bikes always problem. I drive a semi have it in my truck rarely use it bough a life time subscription over 10 years ago, that's the only reason i still play around with it
I had a 17 CVO Street glide. It had the new antennae, but I still was not happy with reception. Moved it to top of dash as close to windshield on right side next to vent. Really improved reception.
