Siren and pager

Siren and pager
I can't believe Harley can be this cheap! I had a 2015 CVO limited and traded it for a 2017 CVO limited. The dealer said the Remote Pager would work with the new bike. Not. The 2017 has a cheaper siren without the pager capability. You can tell because it does not have the antenna wire. I called Harley and they did not even know anything about it. The rep said it would work until I gave him the part # and told him about the antenna. I cannot get them to give me the other siren module. About a $20 difference to make me happy on a new $40k bike.

The pager is great when you're in a hotel, in an inside room and may or may not be able to hear the siren. The signal to the pager will make it.
If you take your left body panel off, uncovering the fuse box, and look, you'll see the siren. If there is an antenna, an 18" or so jacketed wire, coming out of the alarm box it will pair with the alarm sold at any dealership. Both the battery powered and the recharge one will work. You can have multiple pagers to one bike but you can only have one bike paired to a pager.

I bought a CVO Breakout last year this 'side of the pond' and a prerequisite of getting insurance was that it needed to be fitted with an approved 'tracker system.'
Having the security system with siren is standard fit on all new Harley-Davidsons over here.
When I enquired back at the dealership they stated "We supply and fit approved trackers free of charge. All you have to do is activate it and pay the subscription!"
Why didn't they tell me this when I negotiated the deal on the bike in the first place I wonder?
It is reassuring to know that if the bike alarm is triggered or the bike tampered with you will get a phone call. How much is peace of mind worth?
