Default CVO Limited Options

Does the 2018 CVO Limited still come with a CB and does it still have the jacks wired headsets. The only information I have seen says a wireless headset.

Yes and no by looking at the pics. There is two antennas so yes on the CB. There is another pic of the tank area and don’t see the DIN connector there.

I can confirm there is a CB and no wired headset option (no jacks). The bike comes with 2 wireless headsets.

The wireless headset is welcome. Didn't use the wired set often and when I did I got off the bike for gas forgetting to unplug myself too many times.

I guess they have made some changes to the wireless system. The ones in the store do not work with a CB. Looking forward to checking them all out in Daytona next week.

Drove the new CVO Limited at Daytona and I love the 117. What is the difference between the 2017 and the 2018. Does the 2017 come with wireless headsets or is that new for 2018?

2017 is still hard wired unless you buy the plug and play SENA HD wireless upgrade. 2018 only SENA HD wireless. Make sure your dealer does a download update to any Wireless SENA cause it won’t work plug and play 2017 and even brand new 18. I have yet to have my dealer download the most recent new software, I tried and tried to Bluetooth the BOOM AUDIO and to no avail. Called Sena direct and they told me HD dealer has to install new software, most dealers dont have a clue when you buy a 40k plus bike lol.

I opened the box on my new wireless headsets that come with the CVO. Much to my surprise there is nothing but a quick start guide with a couple pics to guide you on them. The tightwads don't include a user manual. All kinds of extra parts to figure out where they go as well.

Mine came with a headset, looked a lot like a Sena 20, but I had a Sena SMH10 already installed on my helmet. I paired it up for a ride this weekend and it actually worked real well.

You need to pair it via the Headsets menu on the Boom, not the Bluetooth. Once it’s paired you need to tweak the volume settings and the BT settings on your phone to allow SMS and contacts to be passed through.

Yeah, the documentation is a bit weak. At least I have a spare headset, maybe I’ll put the new one on someday, who knows?

I read somewhere that the wireless interface is only compatible with the included HD headset OR the Sena 20 series. Not true - I paired my 4-year old Sena SMH10 up no problem. No software updates needed to the bike or the headset. Was charge, pair, and go - once I got into the right menu on the bike!
