Default 4.5 Street Cannons on 117 CVO Opinions

Had 4 inch SCs on earlier bikes, thinking of putting the 4.5 ones on the new CVO. Harley website has few reviews and half and half on rating. Anyone on here try them? what's your experience?

I have them on my 2017 CVO Limited 7000 miles now. Took a little while to get used to coming from ppower duals and monster rounds on my 2013 Limited. After running them about a 1000 miles they really wake up nice bark when you roll on the throttle and quiet at a steady speed. That's my .02 cents

Thanks, I looked at the V&H offerings in 4.5 inch but all three Titan, Raider, and Destroyer are the same freakin muffler just different end caps. They also have a 2.5 inch baffle. Not a fan of those big baffles, usually sound hollow and too much noise for my taste. Narrowed it down to the SCs or maybe the V&H Eliminators. Had the Eliminators n my 2015 Road King I traded.

I’ve got them on my 2017 cvo SG, upgraded to Stage III and went with the 4.5” Street Cannons. I think they sound pretty much perfect... for me, definitely way better than the stock cvo cans. As has been said, they have a really nice deep sound all around, but really wake up when you crack the throttle. I don’t want really loud pipes, as I do a lot of touring and my ears have suffered. These are about as loud as I’d want to go.

try the fullsac power cores for your cvo. the cvo mufflers are good looking, no need to waste a lot of money looking for something for looks and with the recores, they perform great. 3 sizes to choose from, 1.75 for the quitest, 2.25 will be the loudest. in the past, the 2.0 performed the best on the dyno and was a great compromise between loudness and performance.

I did check out Fullsacs cores. I've had x pipes from him on past builds. I am considering that route as well. Had the V&H Eliminators on my '15 RK but that had Cobra brand power duals as headpipes so a difference there.

that is an awesome price. the cores are $150 alone. ask if they come with the screen to hold the insulation against the sidewall too.

I bought them from the forum member. Asked him about the screens but haven't received a reply yet. If they aren't in there, I will probably add them before installation. I will also use my new fluted endcaps and heat shields from the 2018
