So for those of you who have to wait a long time and are using your current bike for a down payment how does that work? Do you make the deal and they let you ride yours? Do you have to try and make the deal when the bike comes in? Did you have to put a non-refundable deposit down? I would think there is enough depreciation on your existing trade-in months down the road as to affect the deal or the estimated deal anyhow....

 

all that depends on you and YOUR dealer. You need to approach your dealer and work out those details in advance. Normally you keep your bike until the new one comes in. When you work out the price is up to you and them. Some dealers ask for a non refundable deposit. Mine did not and was willing to refund it but I spent it there. There is NO set plan nation wide. Much the same as warranty issues, some dealers handle them differently and you must work with them to get a plan
