Default You Can't Trust Vance and Hines FP3

Been using their Exhausts etc for many many moons. Had about a half dozen FP3s on different bikes. Wanted to change exhaust on my '18 FLHTKSE and was waiting for maps to show up on the FP3 site. Well darn if they didn't a week or so ago. Lots of maps listed for the CVO Limited on the Demo mode. Imagine my surprise when I spent $1300 for a Propipe and FP3 only to find out those maps don't really exist. They show on Demo mode but when I plugged the FP3 into the bike as I've done countless times before on other bikes, NONE of those maps actually exist. ZERO maps available. They only show in demo mode. Nice play V&H. what made it even worse is it was a total PITA to install the Propipe on a Limited due to the lower fairing..... You can bet I'm gonna call them Monday....

Don`t you think that the right thing to do would have been to call them and give them a chance to make it right... before posting that they can`t be trusted?

NO they set the stage when they made it APPEAR that those maps were available when they posted them on demo mode. If you spend $400 for an item and it does not do what it's advertising it does, they broke the trust at that point. The buyer has no way of knowing those phantom maps do not exist until he pays and attempts to download one. Now if they can make it right somehow by either making a map available immediately or refunding that $400 they can earn some of that trust back. They should never have placed maps on the demo mode that do not exist making one believe they do exist.

I've talked with their Customer Support folks in the past. I did download my ECM info into their database during the process when the software told me no maps are available. I will see if I can speak with Chris Neely directly then. Thanks for the tip.

Sorry to hear about that. The FP3 and Pro Pipe is the only setup I would consider, but not ready to void warranty on a new bike. Maybe after a year or two.

I guess that is the ONLY bright side of this. With no FP3 map to load, no warranty is effected...No map loaded, the FP3 is not married to the VIN until that happens. Guess I could get the Street Tuner but being familiar with the FP3 I went that route. In this case I did my own install. There is no formal record or work order showing a tuner was used on this bike. May remain that way unless V&H makes this right.

Get a TTS MasterTune Turner and be done with it.

A tuner that can grow with your bike.

Gunny I would run the street tuner until your factory warranty is up. If warranty isn't a problem I would run a TTS .Last TTS I bought from Fullsack and he did a map I loaded it at local dealer and the bike ran perfect. At that time local dealer didn't have a dyno.
