Default 2019 CVO Ultra trouble reading guages

Right off the bat coming home I realized I could barely see the speedometer numbers behind the needle. I see the vertical lines above the numbers but at night the numbers go completely away. Is there a way to turn up the intensity on the panel?

I rode a 2019 CVO Limited in York and it was very difficult to read the speedo and tach. The contrast is not good and they are way too dark.

I would hope hope they are better at night when lighted?

I commented on this and one owner replied and has noticed the same.

Good luck

At night they just disappear. I can't read them with reading glasses at a stop sign.

If it helps, the speedo should be reading zero at a stop sign.

Sorry, couldn’t resist. 😁

That was actually pretty damn funny...lol.

Dumb question...does the trim around the bezel have an adverse impact on viewing gauges? I was looking at a new CVO while at a dealership wasting time. Noticed the gauge trim and thought it might reflect off the light at night??

I have trouble seeing the numbers in daylight, which is compounded by my sunglasses. However, at night I have no issues seeing all of the gauges and numbers.

That's a PLANNED design failure by HD, requiring you to buy the new, improved gauges $$$$. Just wait and see...

I have no issues with my 15 day or night. I think it actually looks good at night even the buttons on the Boom dim as does the boom display.

During the day i guess it is possible for the gauges to wash out if the sun was in a really specific place behind you, but the other day with the sun behind me the gauges looked great

I think i saw for the first time that i have a TPMS light in the gauge, but naturally ( i guess ) it isn't part of the ECM software for the older bikes.

Could be related to your sitting position, ht, steep angle of line of sight to the gauges and possible trim around the gauge??????

It appears the trim around the gauges cast a shadow. I'm also experiencing the same problem.
