Dealer said HD recommends syn 3 in all holes, that's what they put in it so I'm gonna let it ride with it. Is there better, possibly, but I'm no oil engineer and I have no proof nor have I seen any proof other than slick marketing that one oil is better than another. Keep it serviced and I dont think there will be any noticable difference.

Been running SYN3 in all 3 holes for 10 years with zero issues.

Bought my first CVO in 2013. Now, regardless of CVO or not, syn3 in all 3 holes. If I’m chasing a leak, I will put redline in the trans and primary till the leak is resolved. I used to use Amsoil, but stopped mainly because their marketing and availability sucked.

Dealer does all my service, since 09 as I get pre-paid maintenance. So for my 09, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18 and 19 CVO bikes have all been syn 3 in all three holes.

Picked up my 19 CVO RG on Dec 24th, had the 1K done on Dec 30th.
