Default 2019 CVO 1k service

Recently had the 1k service done on my 2019 cvo streetglide, they put syn 3 in all three holes. I'm sure there are better oils out there so I'm not trying to start an oil debate but mainly wanting to know if dealers in your area do the same. I was thinking formula+ would get put in the tranny and primary unless the cvo calls for syn 3 everywhere. I assume it's fine just mainly wondering......

Like yours, mine came stock with from the MoCo with Syn 3 in all 3 holes.

3 years ago when I went from a 110" motor to my now 117" motor, my wrench said it was the cleanest 110" motor (internals) he has ever seen. I do have a lifetime maintance program and change my oil every 2500 miles religiously and that's what I have been using since 2009. Other then the 117" motor break in, I used regular dino oil. After the break in, I went back to Syn 3.

Some folks call the MoCo Syn 3 total crap, some folks love it.

I saved this info and post it up a couple times a year. Syn 3 did pretty damn well ranking #4 overall in the test.

Just my worth, I am sure others will very.

I’m 2/3 Syn 3. I use Bel-Ray in the trans. I think it’s a good combo. I believe changing the oil regularly is more important than what you use.

I dont think my transmission had syn 3 from the factory, I checked it a few times the first couple of weeks and it was clear just like formula +, the syn3 in it now has a brown tint and shows up much better on the dipstick.

I agree, I do not go 5k between changes like Harley recommends, would it be ok, probably, but oil is cheap insurance and it makes me feel better to change it more often in these big air cooled engines especially in the summer. I've put a few hundred miles on the bike since the 1k service and the tranny shifts perfectly fine with the syn 3 in there so I'm gonna roll with it!

I have been running Syn 3 in all three holes on all my CVO bikes since Harley started recommending that.

Syn 3 in the engine
Bel Ray in the Trans
Formula + in the Primary

Oil change and air cleaner recharge every 2500 miles.

.
Same as me except Amsoil in the motor. The primary and tranny are the same in CVOs as the base. So, no reason to use Syn3 in them. And there are better choices as per above.
