Fxdwg2 engine upgrade?

Fxdwg2 engine upgrade?
I have posted several times about my Fxdwg2 that I bought a month ago. I know that the bike originally came with aTC88. I was told at the dealership that a 103 or 106, I can’t remember what he said, was put in. There is no paperwork on that, so how do I find that out? Also, if the engine has been upgraded, is the cam chain dampeners still an issue? The bike has just under 26,000 miles on it. If the tc88 is still in it, should the tensioners be replaced, and if so what is recommended?
Thank you all!! Hi

I couldn't tell you the stroke of the 88 (should be easy to find), or the stroke of the 103/106.
But with the rear wheel off the ground, pull a spark plug, use a wooden dowl rod to measure the stroke. DO NOT spin engine with the starter, slowly turn the back wheel to put the piston on TDC and BDC.
Hope this helps.

Bore kits have nothing to do with tensioners. If your dealer did the work they may be able to find the work order. Otherwise I'd inspect them.
We had a very unhappy customer who didn't know about those idiotically tiny tensioner shoes until his wore then disintegrated. He shut it down quick enough to save the engine but cleaning out the crumbs was a good bit of work.
There are many threads in many forums (never rely on just one forum) on tensioner upgrades vs. gear drive kits, how to measure crank runout etc. I suggest studying them to be an informed consumer.
