Before I laid down the cash, I'd double check to make sure it does fit. With the new frame coming out in '09, I'm not convinced a 2010 seat will fit your '08. The short ride I have on a 2010 SESG convinced me that HD finally built a seat I can live with.

I hear ya Chris, the catalog says it will fit 08 and newer touring bikes, and I would have to agree finally a seat that is nice! Have you put a lot of miles on that seat? Or long days? Any problems?

Thanks!

I did 300 on it in one day and it was suprisingly good. Still changing to a Corbin solo, but I must say---the best stock seat I have owned so far. Won't get any really long trips in till next spring.

They'll fit an 09 or 10 regular Street Glide (we tried mine on both, but not on an 09/10 regular Electra Glide.....the tank dash should be the only thing to consider where it meets the tongue of the seat). But with the difference in the frame from the 08 to 09/10 frames, I can't hardly believe that the seat would fit an 08. I'd try it before I bought it.

The 10 SESG seat is the most comfortable stock seat I ever rode on for two hundred miles (usually about when monkey butt starts setting in on a stock seat). I still switched to Corbin.

Most are having problems with this seat. Very flexible seat pan, flexes and therefore gaps at the console.

This seat is very comfortable but HD has come out with a new production of this seat with an assist to the weak seat pan. It's so week it pulls back from the tank console as stated above.

Allen, with Mean City Cycles, has fixed several of these seats for his local dealer by beefing up the pan and adding a little more foam to the tongue.

My worry is the frame tongue will wear out the plastic seat pan with age so the seat will move side to side.

Default SESG Seat mis manufactured

I have seen many references to the gap regarding the seat pan. While this may be an issue. The gap is simply caused by the seat being manufactured too short!

My SESG had the gap on the showroom floor unladen. The dealer is working with Tech Servise to resolve the issue.

I provided them with pictures of the CVO seat gaps then pictures of a factory Street Glide seat and a Factory Sundowner seat. Both of these cover the dash panel by at least an inch. This clarely shows that the CVO seat is made almost 2 inches too short.

Still waiting to see what the MOCO does?
