Default Which gear for Dyno run

What is the standard gear used for Dyno run.
I just got my 09 SERG back from dyno tune and the
print out shows that they used 4th gear.
Is that the standard gear that they use for the dyno test
or did they inflate the numbers by printing it in fourth gear.

The bike is a six speed 110 SERG

5th and 6th gears would give you higher(more inflated) results. The idea of a good dynotune is to get your bike tuned properly at all throttle positions and rpms(not just 100% throttle). The tuner would be using 1st, 2nd , and 3rd gear for tuning lower throttle positions and rpms. There's less parasitic loss in 6th gear than 4th, so the dyno results using 6th gear ,for a dyno run, would show more torque(HP) on paper. If you go to this website ---http://www.bishopsperformance.com/dynoinfo.htm . you can see on the charts the differences of 4th and 5th gear also SAE, STD, etc.

Received reply from a reliable source..He said 4th gear print out is the old standard but would show my numbers just fine. He said the industry has switched to a 5th gear print out for the 6 speed and would probably add on a few ponies...

Default 5th on a 6 speed

You are looking for 1 to 1 gearing with any transmission. 5th on a 5 speed is OD and 6th on a 6 speed is OD. Under driving in 4th won't give you the true numbers on a 6 speed.
