2010 CVO Street Glide FLHXSE Pro's & Con's

I am looking at buying a 2010 CVO street glide with 5,000 miles. I currenly ride an 2004 RKC with 82,000 miles with a stock motor. What is the most I should expect to pay for this CVO?

It is at a local stealer so you know how that is. What should I look for and ask about while trying to get the best possible deal? Keep in mind I have not been up there to test ride it yet but I want to be prepared when I walk in to do so and have questions.

Thank you for all advice and suggestions

Most of the 2010 CVO Street Glides list for around $28,000-29,000 with low miles. Since its a used bike the will deal some...not much on CVO's but you can always start low and end up in the middle. It depends on the dealer some want to move them some sit on them for every last cent.
You ride, so you are somewhat familiar, low miles, tires and brakes should be ok, if it has aftermarket exhaust and the Cat has been removed, it should have some kind of tuner, whether its a Harley SEPT, or a Power Commander, or another makers. If they just used slip on mufflers usually don't need a tuner. Stage 1? Cams?
Good luck, I am looking for a 2010 or 2011 CVO Street Glide also.

I have wanted a 2010 FLHXSE since they were introduced. I particularly liked the spiced rum color but thought I would never have one because of the higher cost. Originally the list on the bike was around $32K and I have watched them sell for $28K - $29K pretty routinely ever since. Recently found a good deal on one with low miles and took the plunge.

I am extremely pleased with the bike. In the past I have owned a RoadKing and then a 2008 Electraglide. The 110" engine on this bike performs extremely well. It runs very smoothly with great power. I actually expected the bigger engine to run rougher but was pleasantly surprised. The bike handles better than anything I have ever ridden.

I can't think of one con for the bike other than the higher price. My only regret is that I waited so long to get one. What color are you looking at?

Let me know if I can answer anything specific about the bike.

I've watched these bikes sell on EBay and over at www.cvoharley.com for as low as $24k-ish, depends upon how motivated the seller is and the extra's they've added.

New this model bike went for ~$31k and the dealer had 20% mark up meaning he only paid ~ $24,800 the first go round, I doubt they put anymore then that into it as a trade-in.

I think the motivated seller part is the key. I too saw many of the ebay bikes end around $24K without the reserve being met. Actually had a dealer offer me $24.5 for mine (cash, not trade) a couple of weeks ago because someone was looking for one. Don't think I will be letting it go anytime soon - really love this bike.

As a '10 owner, I can say go for it. The bike is a great bike but don't expect the 110 to blow the doors off your Road King. With cam work and a good tune it will wake up but stock it is only a slight step up from what you are used to. The only knock I have is they are a noisy motor. Lots of sounds that you just have to get used to. Other than that, no complaits.

I'm a very pleased 2010 owner. I went from a road glide that I had 10 years and put 67k miles on so it just fit right. I just got this bike in January so I'm still getting used to it, but I can't complain. I'd say go for it!

Mine's a 12 but man they run hot. Changing my pipes and getting the cat drilled out next week.
The seat is not comfortable for any longer than half an hour.

Let us know if you buy it. And of course post pics.

Bought mine last year from my local dealer out the door for around $25k after tax/tag and what not. I love it, but I came over from a FatBoy, no comparison once I got on the highway for my daily 50 mile each way commute. Go for it, you won't be disappointed :icon_eddie:
