Default Compression Release Spark Plugs

My father-in-law has an 01 Screamin Eagle Ultra Classic. Apparently it is eating up starters. He has heard about a compression release spark plug vs a cylinder head mod to install a compression release...supposedly a cheaper option than moding the cylinder head. I found a web reference but they are almost $300 a piece and oh by the way they don't fit Screamin Eagle heads. Anyone have any great ideas out there...compression releases, compression release plugs, etc.

Thanks.

The problem with the compression release sparkplug is the compression release comes out the side of the plug. Makes for a heck of a turning radius.

They look like you have to change the whole thing. Not just the plug. That could get expensive.

How much does a starter cost. Probably wouldn't take to many of those to get the heads tapped.
