Sure. Going from a 34 tooth crank sprocket to a 32, you won't need to change the chain. IIRC they give you a slip-on shoe that goes over the stock chain tensioner.

If OP is still using a 96 ci motor, by all means gear lower.. While the 07s and 08s are geared even taller than the 09s, IMO, the 09 gearing is still too tall for a 96 ci motor. Either gear it down...

I would guess it's possible for water intrusion but I'd think that as soon as you pop the thing into the case, the bearing will quickly heat up to the case temp and dry out any moisture.

I agree with this 100%.. Add some freeway pegs to the crash bars and you are set. Road king or the RK classic will fill the bill. Best model year is a 2002 efi.
