I too have been fighting excessive vibration that wasn't there when I bought the bike. Found out the crank was .019 out of round. Replaced the crank assy, but still puts my hands and feet to sleep....

Dunno, but I've found that mounts are usually not the issue. If the bike is vibrating excessively, it's a more serious issue.

This needs more research. Aftermarket pipes may be loud, but not "Altered". I've got Bassani RR on my victory, it has a baffle in it, but it still sets off car alarms.

Y'know, for 6 or 8k, I'd just look for another bike and part this one out. No lost riding time. There's over 500 used Harleys for sale here and most in the 6-8k range.

Reach underneath and you should be able to at least put your fingers between the crossmember and the bottom of the engine. When my new motor mount collapsed, the engine was hitting the frame.
