I can vouch for V&H monster rounds with stock head pipes. Nice and deep and pretty quiet. WOT pulls make a little noise but it's not obnoxious, just a mellow controlled sound.

Ive had vance and hines monster ovals on my last two electra glides, nice deep sound , not too loud, had v&h twin slash rounds, way too loud for me. I too have ear problems and don't like loud.
