Not saying its vapor locking, but gas in the carburaor bowl can actually vapor lock if it gets hot enough. It's not just limited to fuel lines..

Why don't you stop at Harley and ask them to check the regulator. It only takes a minute. The battery needs to be fully charged for them to get an accurate reading..

If you just got the bike, I'd show up at the dealer and tell them to do it. They technically sold a bike that wasn't road worthy. The problem I had with my bike was fixed for free by the dealer.
