Maybe check the cam chain tensioners, unless he already as done this.

I don't think you will see the increase with a de-catted stock headpipe. If you want performance gains, go with a cam and a 2:1, like the D&D Billet Cat.

I dont think ANY M8 can be obnoxious cruising down the highway. The motor is just designed to be quiet at cruise.
