I snug up the pinch bolts tight enough to keep the axle from turning, then I torque the axle nut, then I loosen the pinch bolts to relieve any stress, then I tighten the pinch bolts a final time.

With 8 out of 10 bikes stolen not recovered and 6000 HD stolen each year I lock the fork, full insurance and have GPS tracking for backup on my CVO.

I've been reading a lot lately of the cross wind complaint with batwings. One guy even said the winds damn near pulled the bars out of his hands. I've put maybe 100k miles on batwing bikes...

I'm Pretty sure that is for heated grips which you most likely don't have. Just leave it unplugged if I remember correctly (even if that's not what it's for). Just did a RGS for a buddy a few weeks...

I have a used set of RC-X mufflers that were on my 13 SG & 15 RG. Approximately 8k miles and still sound good but show some age. Decided to go with FM e-series to quiet it down a bit for long rides....

I run with mine turned off. No issues even in 115 Phoenix heat. Downside being a hesitation and sluggish running bike from idle at a stop with it engaged. I have the heat shields on the mid frame....
