Get an electronic device known as a "Ground Loop Isolator" from Radio Shack or equivalent. You should also try and route the wire as far away from any and all other wires and bundles as possible.

I also have the IMC wrap-around. Only quirk I have with it is that sometimes the mic gets twisted around backwards, and I'm not aware of it. That is the only time anybody has a problem hearing me...

You can ride that either to NY Rte. 9 North toward Fishkill and take that to I-84 East...

Why don't you use the inner fairing type??? Kuryakyn and J&M both sell them. I use the tune trapper from Kuryakyn and it receives just slightly weaker than the normal whip type.
