Default Thunderheader exhaust opinions?

I like the look of the original exhausts that shipped with the '79 FXS... but my bike has cheap drag pipes on it (well, they are on the junk pile now). I like the way the rear exhaust wrapped forward around the cone, then went back into the 2:1 configuration.
It looks like Thunderheader make a set of pipes that match the original style, and (bonus) they make them in black, too. But I don't have any experience with these - anyone have them and care to comment on them? Looking for feedback as I begin to rebuild this shovel...

no experience on shovels but they work great on EVOs usually
Welds sometimes crack on rubber mounted models if not supported properly

RB Racing, LSR collector exhausts. Two styles of head pipes and two styles of muffler. Perfect fit and the finish is excellent.

I have had a thunderheader on my 08 softail for a long time and absolutely love it. I found one at a swap meet for a shovel and after some modifications put it on my 80. Night and day difference in low and mid range compared to everything else I tried. I ended up cutting it apart and taking the baffle out to make it louder and it still runs great. I personally like the way they look and sound. As far as quality, I don't have any complaints.

Not the best pipes for a shovel, expensive racket makers. Another vote for RB racing pipes.

And I'm gonna disagree...not that the RB ain't good...it is. But the Thunderheader works. Neither is actually [measureably] better than stock 2 into 2 with the crossover, using a Glass Pack [offroad only] Mufflers...
Bring all 3 to the Track and I'll show ya!!!
