78 FLh 1200 clutch issue

So before I go a head and start in on this project, I just wanna ask all of you, from what I explained, do you really feel with no motorcycle mechanic experience, besides changing the fluids in my sport bike, that this is a simple enough job with the manual handy? I'm just nervous because this was my dad's pride and joy. I am mechanically inclined, just never really tired my luck outside of boast and 4 wheels...
Well you really only have 2 choices. Learn how to fix it yourself or pay someone else to do it for you. If you're wealthy, lay down your money and pay a mechanic. You'll have to find a good one first. They aren't exactly on every street corner. Shovels are pretty much antiques.
If you have the HD service and parts manuals, you can learn how to do the work yourself. Read the procedures ahead of time and gather up all the tools you will need.
