Default Inner Primary Off-what seals should I replace?

I needed to replace trans seals, so I figured I'd install a 32-amp alternator as well. So as long as it's all apart what seals do I want to replace?

Someone said to replace the motor seal. I think they mean the Sprocket Shaft Seal and Snap Ring. Will I have access to the Left Side Engine Case Seal?

i would replace every seal and gasket you can get to. that said, i wouldn't fool with the engine seal or the trans main shaft seal if not leaking. gotta kind of use your head on this. depending how many miles and how long it's been since it was apart last.

The service manual shows a sprocket shaft seal, I think it's commonly called a motor seal. That's the only seal on the left side of the motor case.

If I took a front end apart, I'd change seals and bushings. If I have access to seals, I generally change them, unless it's been a ridiculously short time since i last changed them.

Hope you replaced the trans shaft sprocket spacer w/one w/o-ring.
Works great - not a bit of leakage. Mine came from SaddleBagRails:

You might want to take a look at the inner primary bearing while you have the primary off. There is a seal in front of it you could replace as well. I just replaced mine, the old one was missing about half of the *****.

Yep, got a new onr of those, too. Oil deflector on starter was chewed up, so got new one of those, too. Changed the sprocket shaft seal and put in a 32 amp alternator.

Great replies! Thanks everyone!
