Clutch hub is on a keyed shaft. If you are using the clutch hub puller, its a matter of turning down the nuts until the hub "pops" off the keyed shaft. And be sure to remove the clutch pushrod befiore you put the tool in place. Last thuing you want/need is to have the pushrod crack the kicker cover.

When was the last time it was apart?

the USA tool with take a beating on the threads but the china tool will not

bring it up tight like you have done - then with a brass hammer give the end the screw bolt a rap they usually jump off when doing it like that when they are good and stuck

Newbie here, im having the same issue, seized hub on my 81 fxe. Ive tried the hub puller and it pulled out one the three studs on hub. Ive tried soaking it in wd40 for three days, and then prying and tapping with hammer. Thinking of using heat. Any ideas?

load the tool and give it a rap with the hammer - the shock usually pops it off

then you will have to improvise with a large side puller - feet that go around the hub and a screw shaft that butts up to the trans shaft -- be careful not to damage the end threads use a alloy / brass block between the tool and the mainshaft

There's your answer, for sure.
