79 FLH-80 Need Help with Fenders
I have my original front fender and tanks. I plan to pickup a rear fender in the fall and paint them all the original Concord Blue. I have a customer with a commercial spray booth who will let me use it nights/weekends.
In order to ride this summer, I bought a set of tanks and fenders that are on the bike right now.
My question is this. Can someone tell me how much (if at all) the fenders changed on the FLH. I'm interested in finding the trim for the fenders and want to be sure it will fit. I appreciate it.
Thanks
Nick

this is the issue re doing any older machine - the parts
the OEM pieces are the only ones that actually fit and are or have been discontinued
Rhinebeck NY is coming up on the 30 th of june and july 1st only chance you have of getting take off trim is a place like that
using the OEM part numbers and a dealer parts guy who is wiling to help he can do a nation search for old stock on the shelf - I have just that sort of guy but most wont spend the time - you will have to make friends
this is why you hear guys talk about make sure you know when your buying something what is correct and what is not - sticking with one machine will teach you that
