This is when I got it out of the van. Still dirty. Did 10 hours of detailing on it and went for a short 34 mile ride. It was smooth and tracked well. Even though it has dual front disc it was not a strong brake. Single puck calipers.
Shifted great, clutch good and starts by the second revolution. All electronics function. I had to learn to hold the turn signal button down for them to flash.
There is nothing to do with it except the detailing. Found another odd duck feature. The chain is in an enclosed case. I will take a picture on a sunny day.

the chain is an oil bath - works
its in great condition not many had that much love
the muffler is usually rusted to death from the battery maybe its a replacement
you can add a bad lands or equivalent so they work like a newer bike
and those calipers are bigger then the FX series - you can go to a sintered brake pad works better - but it is AMF designs Harley did not take the company till mid 81 back

Took it on a 54 mile ride today. That should be it for the year. I feel like I got a piece of history. Only made for two year, fixed fairing, enclosed chain in an oil bath, rear caliper is dual piston, rubber mounted shovel, 35 degree lean angle and the front fork is designed different. It died with AMF. But this one lives on in exceptional condition.
I am going to remove the calipers and service them. Will check the pads.

the pins on those calipers and the alloy calipers wears and when you are going real slow and apply the front brake, they tend to make a clack sound, what happens is they are touching the back side of the fork legs, 2 faced tape in between the caliper front side and the back of the fork legs fixes that noise
