Nice Choppers there John, To be back in the day would be awesome wouldn't it. Did the city once on a Sunday morning 7 a.m. Man I'll tell you it was not like anything else. No one on the road, the city was dead quiet. Me and my buddy, it was cool...

Thanks I see the small hole in the side of the screw. I planned to take the ratchet top off to look inside as well.

Im trying to narrow down a wheel / hydraulic drum brake combo for the rear. I know I need the arm, hub and brake assembly but Im seeing a variety of drums and hubs where some have 3 pins and some have just bolt holes. Im leaning towards the drum with 3 pins vs the sportster 6 hole drum so does that mean I need a starhub style hub for that drum to fit? Im thinking if I can find the hub Ill re-chrome my original rim and re-lace it with the OEM drum hub rather than buy a repop wheel.

Not sure what the 8 hole drum is for, but the top one with dowels and threaded holes is what you need. I believe the wheel you need is called a "mid-star" hub. Looks like an older star hub but has newer style bearings. Latter star hubs will have flanges for a rotor, easy to spot.
