My lowers turned out nice but Im on the fence about how shiny they are. They needed to be polished as a starting point due to the age and road rash etc with the possibility of brushing them or dulling them down after. Brushing them and getting consistency might be tough with the variety of mounts and lumps and bumps. I believe I read here that dish soap is a good one to take the Stanley Cup look down a notch or two?

dawn dishwashing soap the blue stuff the duck is on the front of the bottle will pull over time some of the shine and sealant the buffers apply -- it will then back out to a factory look by the time you finish and ride it a few times

it lets the air back in the pores

Finish the bike and ride it, aluminum is happy to dull all by itself. Aluminum is very accommodating that way, it does not want to stay shiny.

S100 spray will dull them slightly and maintain them too.

My new tank with internal filter, drain plug, feed and return plus a vent. Ill have it powder coated black wrinkle Im thinking along with the fuel cell so they're obscured.

I need to finish up the mount bracket too.

Are you snowed in? Haven't seen any update on this in a while. Really itching to see the final result.
