Default Clutch/tranny bound up?

Putting together this ‘75 fxe, and up until recently the shifter worked through all the gears flawlessly, and the kicker action was smooth.

Suddenly the clutch or tranny is now giving me fits in a strange way. Something is bound up so I only get about 90 degrees of rotation in ether direction when rotating the crank. At either end of the limited rotation i can no longer shift into any gear. Right in the middle (when the tension is off) i can. I also can’t move the kicker pedal anymore.

I didn’t reef on the kicker or motor in anyway, i was just trying to find neutral to move the bike and this happened. Video below. Any info? Thanks.

Plugs are out. Chain is off.

if it was working before you removed the rear chain link and left if hanging on the front sprocket

I would say its binding up on the chain raping around its self on the front sprocket and its in gear

It was doing it before i unhooked the chain. Though, just now i got the bike into neutral and re-linked the chain. I can rotate the motor and can spin the wheel backwards but it locks up moving forward!

UPDATE: I may be an idiot. Found a crunched up old hose clamp that was binding up off and on apparently. I should have fished a magnet around on the bike when I first brought it home.
