74 electra glide brake question
I recently picked up newer style hand controls from a shop. I'm not sure what they came off of but were around 94-96. I was already wanting to switch to a banjo style brake line. This master cylinder does have the banjo fitting on it. My question is am I going to need to do anything different with the stock caliper to be able to run that style hose or will it be a direct fitment? If I will need to make changes what would be my options? Is the different in master cylinder bore going to make a difference or even work at all?
Thanks for any help you guys can offer. Again I'm new to the harley world so if there is any information I'm missing that someone needs to answer any of my questions just let me know. This was a hand me down when my old man passed last year. But I'm trying to make it my own.

NO it wont the 74 master was 3/4 inch - in 1984 they do make that dot 5 master in 3/4 BUT the caliper is dot 3 brake fluid that you have
the difference - dot 3 is a mineral type oil / fluid and is not compressible as a liquid
dot 5 on the other hand is yes a fluid but it is compressible because it has microscopic air pockets in the fluid that never go away
so what happens if you cross the two you can never get a hard feeling in the brake lever, and it travels much farther towards the handlebar then you will like before it engages the brake - in some cases it hits the handlebar as it is stopping the bike and that's not a panic stop just normal traffic stuff
been down this road before
