haha good one John! It would take me 40 years at the speed I work

It looks good on the bike too:

I always put a thin coating of black permatex on gaskets that I don't expect to remove. I let it set up a few days and then added Dextron ATF up to the level of the clutch hub:

Because I decided at the last minute to isolate the primary, I plugged the oil return in the block, and capped the primary and rear chain oil supply lines.

One more picture:

the knuckle / pan / shovel clutch material is designed for regular motor oil - the evo material is different and likes the dextron 3, i did not have 100% luck with shovels and dextron

These are Alto Red disks, which I understand are made for ATF? I could swap the Dextron for Ford but wanted the smoother engagement.

correct on both accounts - alto red is dex or type F and type F has a much more abrasive shift in a auto trans / reason drag cars use it

Forgive me for pointing this out but when I was in trade school to become an auto mechanic, two things stuck out for me that one of my teachers pointed out. One was there's no T in Dextron fluid, its Dexron transmission fluid and the other thing was someone spouted off about AC DELCO plugs being so much better than Champions. It was then explained that AC stood for Albert Champion. 2 Pieces of info to put in your useless folder

being from NYC your lucky i dident add effen dextron - i knew that but its the way we say it - my duramax takes dex 3 now they only sell dex 5 and that eats the seals and makes them leak

but tractor supply sells dex 3 for older tractors in 2 gallon cans < even tho its in a plastic bottle we call it a can being gallons ( Y ) i don't know
