I've been looking everywhere and the cheapest option I can find is $400-700. It seems the 4 speed option is only 150-300. Any idea on cheaper options for the 5speed. Would the Ultima 5speed kicker work?

 

Even if you did find a kit, how would you actually kick it with the bag, battery, and crash bar in the way?

 

the only thing I see being in the way is the passenger foot board and might have to run different exhaust.

 

I would put one of them fake ones on, your not going to kick it anyway.

 

What makes you say that?

 

Had lots of kickers, most of the time don't start on the first or second kick, so back to the button just saying

 

Save yer Money.. Expensive PITA
and, those cheap 4-speed Kicker "kits" are Crap also.. Slightly better than the Aftermarket kicker kits for Ironheads...
Best way to get a Kicker ... is to get a Bike that was engineered for one.

 

It would work IF you change the trapdoor, got all the parts for a ball and ramp clutch release, and changed the clutch cable to a newer style.

The 5 speed kickers that don't include a main-shaft are total junk...and most of the ones that do are only slightly better junk...baker is the only one that will actually stand up to any real usage.

Any 5sp kit that has a mainshaft extension is wasting your money, put a lot of those on for guys back in the late 80's & early 90's and none ever lasted. More than a few snapped the end off the mainshaft.

As Tom said Baker is the only serious one out but she ain't cheap.
