Thank you FreedomRider and johnjzjz. .Found the inner and outer and replacement grips at v-twin mfg. Good sources since you can't order directly from V-twin. 45 Resto has older stuff but some things may still apply I will surely need other quality stuff in the future. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Received a push and a pull cable since the parts guy thought it was pull based on my year and model but the indy said it was a push.. The parts guy spoke with my indy and it is definitely a push throttle...so I guess I need to return the pull.
I did not know the 71 FLH throttle varies....is this because I have a super B carb? I also learned that the throttle grip does not spring back to idle like later models. It is manual if you will. ....still learning

you can use the push if you come around the air filter and attach the cable to it and go in to the carb as the B has a flat lever with two attaches use the bottom one - adjust so when its going to idle you have slack so it defiantly go to the stop for the idle screw -
its then turn on to rev up and turn off to idle as original

Got some help from a friends who owns a few shovels and is the part guru at the dealership for older bikes to determine how to get my emergency flashers wired properly so it works as it should with a 6 terminal toggle.. Here is the wiring diagram...may help someone going through the same challenges.
Told him I a visual. I can figure out how things work if I have an illustration. This is so much easier than someone trying to explain what to do.

Picked up my bike from the indy today...he worked on the throttle and front brake, gave it a complete service, and replaced some electrical stuff. Was going to ride it to the dealership to get it safety checked, but the bike died 3 times on the freeway before I even took the cutoff so I decided to ride it straight home some 25 miles. Died two more times on the freeway, the last time I could not start the bike back up. Had to call a tow service.
So I probably have a charging system issue and a fuel issue.
Charging system cause after the 5th time the bike died I tried to start it and it just clicked...an indication of a low charged/dead battery.
My bike also sputtered at high speeds then died so a likely fuel issue....When I got it home, sure enough...the carmelized fuel found in the tank just like the last time. I thought I got everything but must have missed a whole bunch probably hiding in other parts of the tank. Probably plugged the fuel to the carb.
While I was on stuck on the freeway waiting for the tow, 2 individuals stop to see if I needed help. They were both military personnel passing by, both motorcyclist...one on a motorcycle and one in his vehicle. Seems only motorcycles would take the time to help. Both couldn't help but passed the time away talking story.
Anything else I should check while I am at it....darn, it felt go good to ride.

Here is what I found in the right side tank today. I am hoping this is the culprit to the fuel issue i.e. sputtering then dying. Stop, start the bike, throttle responding. Then a mile or so down the road, starts sputtering and dies again 5 times. Made it about 25 miles then it went dead.
With respect to my battery or charging system, I am charging the battery. Will test with a volt meter when I have full charge. If this test fails, then probably need to replace the voltage regulator.
Can anyone suggest (brand and supplier) a quality replacement to 74510-70A?
