while I am not a fan of blending years of looks to gain a personal touch

visually to a goober it looks the part and it does have the early appeal

I actually don't mind as the ones that are totally correct demand the real money

and the takes offs from this one has saved another real one - possibly

I get all of my "decals" from Rick, good guy, nice products and quick on the delivery. I have the "flasher" / "spot" sticker for the back of the nacelle on it's way to me right now from Rick. Also bought from him the previously mentioned FLH timer cover and the long reflective HD stickers for the saddle bags.

just recently got the "flasher" / "spot" sticker myself. Haven't used it yet because it's so cold.

Can you or anyone using Paughco Dual Crossover Head Pipes 735-1 let me know how you secured or seal the joints where the crossover connects to the rear head pipe and where the rear head pipe connects to the right side (front) head pipe.

I mocked it up and looks like it will fit but before I install, need clarification of the connection points. Here is a pic of the two points in question on the rear head pipe Paughco 735-1.....is there suppose to be a clamp at each joint or some kind of seal?...it fits snug but still can move back and forth. Pics are good. Thanks.

yeah, mine is like that too. there is no clamp, and it does leak exhaust there. Not sure how to seal it, but it does make it easy to remove the left side pipe when needed.
I've been thinking of using an exhaust sealing compound when I'm ready to make it more permanent.

I'll look when I get home, but I'm pretty sure my tube of sealant is labeled Walker muffler product.
The pipes are a pretty loose slip fit, so I'm not sure how it could ever seal up completely.
I haven't tried it yet because I keep needing to remove the pipe for other reasons.

Thanks for the info.

pjb - how does it perform with the leaks? Do your pipes pop a lot?. Mine is a snug fit and may not leak if push in snugly but won't know until I install all 3 pieces on the bike.

john - thanks appreciate the name of that gray silicone. Lowes is a just a few miles from me. Can you still remove the head pipes with that silicone?

off hand do you know the torque spec for the shock nuts....I torque it when I installed the rear guards but can't seem to find the spec.Need to install the muffler support tubes...and need to loosen the shock bolts to a allow movement for the guard to move slightly to get it reinstalled..

runs fine. I just know it leaks exhaust at the crossover because I can see the effects it leaves in the area.
The tab on the pipe that bolts it to the primary cover near the solenoid kinda dictates how it fits together.
