Up to 67 I believe then they went to a lock barrel in the lower half. I need that latch style for my bike just so I have them.

Well the entire pipe set are on there way back to Paughco on my dime.....I guess the downfall of working directly with Paughco versus the reseller. But I am sure they will resolve the matter faster than dealing with the middle man...I hate delays. I was hoping they only needed the crossover so I could install the OEM crossover, but they wanted all 3 pieces. Looks like I will end up with an spare crossover.

I just got a set like that. White with the emblems and reflectors on lids. They show age, but pretty good shape.

At least '67-'69. Have them on 3 bikes.

My understanding (which is Likely to be incorrect) is that the bags and fairings were always white because those items were options not standard. Easier to have all white so they go with any bike. Is that right? And if that’s the case it would depend on the dealers inventory at the time of sale that determined what bikes got lock barrels and which got briefcase type latches as the barrels were phased in. No?

Re: locking mechanisms on bags. The HD Accessory Catalog would point to 1969/1970 as the changeover year

1969 Catalog

1970 Catalog
