Yes, the '71 engine was rebuilt some time ago. Never started. Carb is buttoned up with plastic. All the tins in the photo of the '78 are primed and go with the '71. So it seems like a lot of it is there. No word yet on my offer of $5k.

And the trophies are motorcycle club trophies for the '78.

I think you’re right! Zoomed in and it looks like a tiny motorcycle on the top. I’m gonna go with motorcycle trophy. I’d still do the deal if he throws in the trophy.

Yes as of yesterday. The family wants to sell the "basket case" one, as they need the money. As it's a friend, I decided to help them get every dollar they can for it. So I put the owners in touch with someone that builds shovel bobbers. Without seeing them, he would offer $2500-3k on the '71, dependent on the the quality of the paperwork that goes with it. If any one on here is interested in talking to the owners, pm me. Or do a search for Syracuse Photographer and hit the contact button and call me. They are pulling the '71 out of it's sleeping spot this weekend. It's in Syracuse, NY.

Would be a crying shame to see any of those bikes dicked around and bobbed, god that's an insult to those machines.
