1979 FXEF 80
Been contemplating the investment of a horseshoe oil tank but i got some questions.
Does the starter relay get relocated? If so, where to?
Relocation of 30A breaker?
Am i correct in thinking i need my oil line connections at the top of the tank to avoid interference with transmission?
Is there any issue with the battery getting too warm?
Any pics would be helpful, thanks

That bike is kickstart only? So i would have to get creative on making some brackets for the starter relay. The tanks I've seen don't look like they bolt in easily. I haven't seen one that says (or looks like) it bolts to the factory mounts.

 

they do bolt to the factory rubber cushions < some and some under the clutch cable bracket like an original horse shoe tank and even some to the fender - it will say for electric start and some have a bottom tab for the evo type starter relay
