Laced and trued on my high tech fixture, new tires and tubes tomorrow. New bearings and sleeve plus a million other spacers and cork thingy's in there, original star cover too. 5 Taiwan Tedd screws and star locks which I know will give the most diehard purist heartburn but the hub cap will hide them and when I send a batch of car stuff for plating Ill add some of my bike stuff and replace the screws then.

After a lot of trial and error Im happy with the section for the white. Should see paint and clear today then they will wet sand and clear again etc. The tank is leaning towards me so the panel looks high in relation to the emblem but its not.
Front wheel done with a fresh avon so I can finish up the front half and when my other rim arrives Ill build that wheel, swap out the Taiwan Tedd one and deal with the chrome drum and backing plate.

Perfectly. I used the axle and ran a long bolt through the hole in the axle and clamped the bolt to the stand so the axle wouldn't move or rotate and then used a 1/4" extension laid in one of the teeth for the stand lock as a pointer aimed at the side of the rim. It spun true and balanced no problem.

Found this primary for cheap and couldn't pass it up. Yes it lacks the screw (for now) but its avoided the chrome shop and the polisher as well as a welder! The scratches are superficial which I was thinking I should hand sand the entire cover to remove and then blast it to bring back the cast finish? Thoughts?
