The differences are subtle in the y-pipe but aftermarket in my opinion. On the OEM one the Y goes over the squish pipe, mine is the other way around and the weld is different where the rear pipe enters the Y. The tip looks like it has a fuse weld on the seam using rollers vs spot welds. Confirms what I assumed but thats okay.

Things on my want list right now are OEM bars, controls, foot shifter complete assembly (with bracket) and a complete mousetrap. Ive seen used OEM bits and pieces on-line so even if I have to suck it up and run a repop mousetrap cover for now I will. Some OEM stuff I imagine is not possible but Ill try.

Oh, and a cast iron oil pump is on that list!

I called Harley today, they said they lost most of their records for bikes prior to 73 and have nothing on my bike. Oh well. They gave me a spec sheet for the 66 FLH though.

The speedo works with my fingers so Im putting it and the original console back in.

the stand with out the loop is the one you want to use

the speedo is missing the hold down screws for the drive unit

those are 3 1/2 bore 80 inch jugs not 3 7/16 bore 74 inch plus what ever over size they may be

The mind boggles at what the previous owners have done to this bike. Thankfully its not really butchered (in my opinion anyway )

Looking at the edge of the bezel, it appears that someone either took it apart of attempted to take it apart who didn't know what they were doing.
Tombstone is correct for a 66 genny, the pointer/needle isn't correct, it should be a little shorter fluorescent red pointer.
The build code on the back would be correct for an early 66 genny shovel ( J8 ) J= 1965, 8= August.
Something you might want to check out after you get the two round head machine screw in the back to hold the inner (lower unit) secured. Lightly shake it from side to side, if the pointer flops from side to side, chances are the jewel is broken (jewel is a nylon sleeve that holds and guide the pointer peg from moving side to side), this is very common for the 540 series speedo's.
If you decide to get your speedo professionally restored, contact John Bordas, in Texas 1-303-420-4510.
