Clutch issue
Greetings, working on my clutch for my 1980 FLT and having some issues. I was riding it and the clutch went out, no that big of a deal, But when i replaced the discs/plates, the whole shell moves when i engage the clutch, but doesn't release. It looks like the whole assembly moves and stays out. When i pull the discs back out, the push rod moves freely back and forth. I've pulled it out and look at both ends and everything looks fine at that part. I set the pressure plate at 1 1/32 like the book says with 1/4 inch of play in the clutch handle. Kind of at a loss for this. It is a five finger clutch hub also, for whoever may ask. Any help would be appreciated.

you will need to install a ram jet - its a plastic disc that retains the clutch hub in place using the pins on the clutch rub - we install one on every job we do with the early clutch
e blows should have them
but I would also check your primary chain tracking as I believe you shimming is off a bit as well
