Hello,
i am currently looking for adivce aand wheee to go for my wide glide front brakes. The bushings are going and there isny much power for stopping now .Ive looked and am curious should i i ju replace the front calipers and up to a 2 piston on each side or stay stock and find a rebuild kit or 1 piston replacements .also where do you recommend.
I debated the conversion on my 82 but I would need to run roadking lowers, callipers and rotors because the calliper mounts are different. Maybe you could retain your lowers and make adapters. You can get the pins and bushing new from V twin as well as new aftermarket callipers that fit but theyre very expensive and look wrong.
I have the same bike, same flopping callipers that drove me nuts. Still better than the front drum on my 66!
So those calipers are supposed to be floppy? Is there a way to fix it? I know i i cant get them to my Street glide power but atleast something that grabs well
