My BDL belt drive fits well on my cone shovel. The belt runs true . My problem is the front pulley rides too close to the Paughco tin inner primary. This is a new installation and I've already enlarged the hole for the front pulley and I still need to do more to make it work. I can't space the pulley out because I'll loose the alignment. I'm also installing a Baker 6 into 4 and it fits better than the stocker.
I need some answers, Jim
seen this more then I care to think about - lots of ideas in play but some you wont like
how much are we talking about .010 or 1/8 inch kind of thing - at some point believe it or not a slight rub will find its spot, and it will be happy all on its own as I have seen them come into the shop, and clearly this is what went on till it wore down what was making the noise
to be continued

Cone shovel cases and that primary were never meant to be used together front mounting holes are very different small wonder it won't align right. Use a 3rd party pic service and post up couple, gotta see what you have first.

The problem lies where the 2 pcs. are spot welded. The doubled metal is right over where the inside edge of the belt is. I've trimmed the front half and then some to provide a clearance of 5/16" or so. My concern lies where the belt approaches and leaves the pulley.
