You're a shovel guy and you don't know what a ham can air cleaner is? There's a black plastic gill on it that gets wrecked. My 82 would've had a ham can.

The Bay has them, condition varies greatly. Be patient and don't buy the first POS you see, a good one will pop up eventually. On my '70, I need the ribbed air cleaner insert, looked on the Bay for about 4 months, everyone listed looked like the bike fell on it!?!? Then I run into a NOS one in the package, less then $60, now on my bike. All about patience. Good luck.

And they ( Ham Can Assy ) weighed a ton ... I think the first year was 1979 ... Guys who did away with the carburetor support soon found out why it was supposed to be there ... Seen more than a couple on the side of the road with the carburetor hanging form the throttle cable . ( Not my scooter in picture )
