Cool project and I'm sure you'll make your dad proud in the end. Tag just to watch this come along.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad, he seemed like a cool guy. Cool bike too, I rode behind my Dad and was hooked as well.

I ran a B for years and loved it. I only switched it out because everyone kept making fun of me for still running the B that stuck out so far. I ran a K&N oil filter with it too. I'm bow legged so it wasn't in my way.

Nice project and story, have fun putting it back together!

I have a B on my 79 FXS and an E on my Evo chopper - the E is fool proof, the B needs a little care to ride without a pump, but works great when it's warmed up and just cruising around. It looks a lot better too, haha.

Also need advice on valves and pistons the ones in it look good but not sure what would recommend? Also I read some where that in 1982 HD came out with new piston rings that had a lot better oil control?

Default Found a bunch of dads parts in crates

I was going through dads shed today looking for some tools and found all these parts what y’all think what to keep or get rid of?!??!!? Like I said it’s a basket case and that’s the gas tank that was on there it’s been sitting for 15 years any suggestions on cleaning the inside?

Don't sell or throw out anything at this point, never know what you'll be using or need. Chains and old sprockets with worn teeth toss, but rest clean up and keep for the time being, lots of good swap meet material once your done.
