Default Super glide tank fit

I swapped my fat bobs for a super glide tank today. The fit doesn’t look quite right to me. I have the big rubber block positioned so it sits on the old dash mount. I can push the tank down to touch the rubber pads at the rear, but the spring doesn’t hold it down all the way. Is that right? The tank seems solid. It just seems to me it should sit on the pads. Thanks.

I ended up taking some rubber off the block up front to get it close enough.

In the way of Explaination... the "saddle" is situated such that the Tank Rocks... hooking the front, and rocking the rear on down to contact the Two rear Pads..
Now the tank is actually pushing Up against the hooks, and being held down onto the Pads by the spring [I Use an O ring]

^^ Good on ya for taking the time... but again I don't like the damn Spring... an O-ring is more convenient, and does not eat thru paint!!!
