Some bottom breathers will do that after sitting for long periods..Either fix the leak by in the oil pump (check valve) or you put a pan under it on initial long sit starts and live with it. Personally if it's only a long term sitting thing and no issues on a daily or weekly basis I would leave it alone and enjoy it..

go ahead and put a hose to direct the oil somewhere easy to clean up. no filter needed.
